Professional Development Scholarships for WPOA Employees

The Wintergreen Community Foundation offers funding to Wintergreen Property Owners Association staff members interested in classes or programs that will improve their technical or leadership skills.


 

Goal & Objective

The Goal of the Wintergreen Community Foundation SGA committee is to provide a means that allows legacy opportunities for Funding Scholarships, Grants and Awards, (SGA) to eligible WPOA staff including police, fire and rescue departments on an annualized basis.

The Objective is to motivate and/or reward eligible employees by providing funding for educational expenses that will impact the quality of life of the individual as well as value added.


Criteria

The eligible recipient must be a current WPOA employee.

* Applications must be completed 45 days prior to the start of the scholarship, grant & award (SGA) cycle.

* Individuals are eligible for a scholarship, grant or award once each calendar year.

* Employees must be in good standing as defined by WPOA employment policies.

* Candidates will be selected by the SGA committee based on the application submitted and supporting documentation.

* Reimbursement is for courses recently completed, currently in progress, or scheduled to begin within the current or upcoming calendar year for advancement skills, work enhancement training or education to better serve the Wintergreen community.
